FAQ

1 – Can I get a refund? 
Fort2Base does not offer refunds, but we do offer a few options:

–> Transfer your registration to 2024
–> Transfer your registration to virtual
–> Transfer your registration to a friend
–> Donate your entry to a military person or Gold Star Family member

2 – Will there be a virtual option available for 2023?
YES we will still have the virtual option available in addition to the in person option.

3 – Will the race be back on base?
Due to COVID Naval Station Great Lakes is not open to the community.  We are continuing to have conversations and if that changes we will let everyone know via email and social media.

4 – When is the next price increase?
August 1st

5 – Can I change event distances once I register?
YES, as long as we still have spots in that distance we will allow you to move up or down.

6 – When \ Where is packet pick up this year?
We have partnered with Road Runner Sports and will offer packet pick up at 3 locations (Wilmette, Chicago, Kildeer).  We also have race day packet pick up and packet mailing available for an additional fee.

7 – Can someone pick up my packet for me?
YES, they will need your authorization to do so

8 – Where do I park?
There is lots of free parking at Rosalind Franklin University and we will shuttle you to both start lines and then from Foss Park back to the Rosalind Franklin after the event.  There is NO parking at Fort Sheridan and no shuttle buses return to Fort Sheridan after the event.

There is no parking at Fort Sheridan.

9 – Can I wear a ruck sack for this race?
No, we do not allow Ruck, we do allow hydration packs such as a camelback and we do allow race \ hydration belts.

10 – How many water stations are on course and what do they serve?
There are 6 water stations on the 10NM course and 1 on the 3NM course.  All serve water and Gatorade Endurance.
