Q: Do I have to register online?
A: No. You can register online or possibly during packet pickup IF there are spots available. There is no race day registration.
As there is a good chance that the race will sell out, to ensure entry, please register as early as possible. The Registration Page will have information regarding registration and availability.
Q: May I switch from the 10NM to the 3NM or vice versa if I have already registered?
A: Yes. Please view our Registration Page for more details.
Q: What if my name is spelled wrong, my age is wrong, etc. on my registration? Can I change it?
A: Yes. Just email Julie@fort2base.com and she will make the necessary changes to your registration.
Q: Is there a course time limit?
A: Yes. You must hold a 16 minute per mile pace or faster for the 10 Nautical Mile event and 30 minute per mile pace or faster for the 3 Nautical Mile event.
Q: When and where do I pick up my race packet?
A: Please visit the Packet Pickup Page.
Q: Can someone else pick up my packet for me?
A: Yes. In order to do this please follow the following (3) steps.
- Print out your confirmation email (which will be sent to you as race day approaches) or visit our Registration Confirmation page and print a copy from there.
- Give your friend a copy of your ID
- Send the copy of your ID and registration confirmation to packet pickup with your friend/family member. Don’t forget to thank them!
Q: I can’t make to any of the packet pickup locations, can you mail me my packet?
A: If you register online prior to, August 1st you may choose the mailing option and we will send you your packet including race bib, timing device, shirt and race weekend instructions. There is a small fee for this convenience. We will not be mailing out packets post event.
Q: I can’t run, can I get a refund?
Q: I can’t run, can I still get my packet?
A: Yes. Please come to packet pickup to collect your packet.
Q: I can’t run, can I give my entry to someone else?
A: No. Selling, trading, or giving someone your entry is against USATF rules.
Q: I have a friend who would like to volunteer, can he help?
A: YES! We always need an extra set of hands! Please email Julie@fort2base.com for more information.
Q: Where are the Aid Stations on course?

Q: Where are the port-o-potties located?
A: There will be port-o-potties at the Start Area and Finish Area, and in several spots along the 10NM course. Please see the Map page for more details.
A: The race will be timed using B-Tag technology. All registered runners will pick up their B-Tag at packet pickup.
Q: Are strollers allowed?
A: Strollers are not allowed on the 10 Nautical Mile course due to safety reasons. Strollers are allowed in the 3 Nautical Mile race, please stay towards back and be respectful for others around you.
Q: Are baby carriers or baby backpacks allowed?
A: Not in the 10 Nautical Mile race, but they are allowed in the 3 Nautical Mile race. We ask that you are respectful of those around you.
Q: Is there an age minimum or maximum?

A: For the 10 Nautical Mile we ask that you hold a 16 minute per mile pace or faster
For the 3 Nautical Mile, the course is open and supported for 2 hours (a 30 minute per mile pace)
